Sino Publishers Services Limited (SPS) is a HK company with offices in Beijing and Shanghai.

SPS have a long history of introducing publishers to customers including the following:

 1. State-owned importers.

SPS has contacted importers in the region of 18 state-owned publication importers. They are the main channels for print books, periodicals and databases. SPS not only contacts the person responsible for import, but also contacts sales managers to introduce products. Sales managers are the main source of orders.

State-owned importers have two parts to their business:

Importation and selling books by themselves.

Providing help for private companies in importing books by charging a service fee.

SOEs all have their own professional areas. Some specialize in selling trade and children titles. Some specialize in selling academic books and some specialize in selling art titles.

2. Private companies.

They have their own specific market too. SPS generally sorts them as trade customers, art books customers and children books customers.

Trade customers. Selling all kind of books including trade titles, art titles and children titles. (state-owned companies have their own bookstores, such as Xidan Books Building, etc.).

Art books customers. They are focusing on photography, design, fine art, etc. They usually sell art books to art universities and physical bookstores.

Children book customers. They are online or physical bookstores. With the rise of live streaming shopping in the Chinese market in recent years, some content influencers are also buying children's books via SOEs.

SPS are contacting with over 60 such customers all around China, Hong Kong and Taiwan.

We travel throughout China, Hong Kong and Taiwan meeting with our customers 10 to 15 times a year. The main cities including Shanghai, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Hong Kong, Nanjing, Hangzhou, Tianjin, Shenyang, Wuhan, Changsha, etc. are covered.

3.Online Retailers.

SPS have an excellent relationship with the biggest online retailers in China such as jd.com, TMALL and Dangdang.com. It is hard for new companies to deal with them. It is impossible to build business with them without the help of a local agent. SPS have years of experiences negotiating with them.

4. Academic Market.

In academic market, what makes us different from other agencies is we go meet the end users. In China, 95% of academic books were sold to universities and public libraries. Our sales managers visit librarians every week to ensure that our catalogs are delivered to them on time and accurately.

We also organize and attend book exhibitions. Our book exhibitions usually last 5 days from Monday to Friday. During this time our sales managers built good relationships with librarians.

In China, about 200 universities are purchasing imported English print books. Each university has 1-2 librarians who decide which books to purchase. We will ensure that our catalogs are in front of these librarians on a regular basis.
