Sino Publishers Services Limited (SPS) is a HK company with an office in Beijing.

SPS have a long history of introducing publishers to customers including the following:

1.State-owned importers. SPS has contacted importers in the region of 18 state-owned publication importers. They are the main channels for print books, periodicals and databases.  SPS not only contacts the person responsible for import, but also contacts sales managers to introduce products.

State-owned importers have two parts to their business:

Importation and selling books by themselves.

Providing help for private companies in importing books and charging a service fee.

They all have their own professional areas. For instance, where one company is very strong on selling Taiwanese and Hong Kong titles, another one has a specialization with a named Arts Special Fund, so they are very strong on social sciences titles.

2. Private companies.

They have their own specific features too. SPS generally sorts them as general customers, art books customers and children books customers.

General customers. Selling all kind of books including trade titles, art titles and children titles. (state-owned companies have their own bookstores, such as Xidan Books Building, etc.).

Art books customers. They are focusing on photography, design, fine art, etc.

Children book customers. They have many small childrens bookstores and online bookstores in China.

SPS have contacts with over 60 such customers all around China.

We travel throughout China meeting with our customers 8 to 10 times a year. The main cities including Shanghai, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Hong Kong, Nanjing, Hangzhou, Tianjin, Shenyang, Wuhan, Changsha, etc. are covered.

3.Online Retailers. SPS have an excellent relationship with three of the biggest online retailers in China. It is very hard for new companies without an existing relationship to deal with them.  They are demanding and it is impossible to build business with them without the help of a local agent. SPS have years of experiences negotiating with them.

Academic Market. This is a totally different market. The academic market in China lies mainly in three areas:

University Libraries

Public Libraries

Research Institutes

About 200 universities are buying imported books periodicals and databases in China. There are also more than 100 public libraries and research institutes buying imported books and periodicals.  If we are selling STEM titles, hospital libraries are also our buyers.
